We all care for pakistan as its our homeland. And we think and suggest ways for betterment of Pakistan all the time. With ever increasing populationand diminishing natural resources we need some simple measures to help our coming generations. Tree planting is supposed to be a job for Govt but infact this is a simple task we can all do with minimum effort..Infact its sunnah of prophet Muhammaed (PBUH) and sadaqa e jaria and its reward continues even after the death of the person who plants a tree.
Narrated Hadhrat Anas bin Malik (Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet (Salam o Alaika) said, "If any Muslim plants any plant and a human being or an animal eats of it, he will be rewarded as if he had given that much in charity".
To be environmentally sustainable a country is said bein forest about 25 percent but we are a mere fraction of that number nd sadly, we are actually deforesting in a great speed. We all know that trees helps attract clouds for rain, helps to reduce the amount of carbon monoxide in the air which reduces global warming, it slows the rate of desertification. Trees help recharge ground water and sustain streamflow.
At least we can plant atree on our birthday to start and encourage other too. We can also plant trees on special occasions like new year, eids etc. If some one has vacant land they can be encouraged to plant trees as Govt can help in this regard. And trees actually pay lot in terms of monetary gains.
As was done by China we can encourage school children plant trees. In monsoon some days should be only for tree plantation for school kids.
